This might be the easiest DIY you've ever done, and one of the most useful too! Summer is a great time to show off those stems, but if you've got scaly legs, you'll want to keep them covered up! This scrub will help all of that. The sugar exfoliates, the oil moisturizes, and the lemon acid brightens. What could be better than that? Shall we begin?
(BTW the original post where I saw the recips is from this amazing blog called The Sweetest Occasion! Linked HERE)
Step 1: Figure out your jar situation. I used old salsa jars! DIY should be cheap, or it's a wasted effort in my opinion.
Step 2: They were boring, so I used the thing I knew could help: spray paint! Sorry this photo looks nasty, but this is one of my all time favorite craft things! I used it for my wedding loads.
Step 3: Spray paint the lids. Ah looking better.
Step 4: Perfection! Time to start whipping up a batch.
Step 5: Grab ingredients! You will need: granulated sugar, olive oil, lemon extract, a lemon, and a zester (which I don't have, so I just grated mine. Turned out fine)
Step 6: Measure out your ingredients into a mixing bowl. I did:3 cups sugar
3/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon extract
1 lemon zested
1 lemon's juice (same one of course!)
Step 6: Stir it around! My spatulas have my name on it... that's totally normal right?
Step 7: Scoop into jars!
Step 8: Use and enjoy! These are all "perishable" items so I wouldn't keep this around forever. Just use your common sense. :)
Wow, that's not many steps. Like I said, couldn't be easier.
