Christmas Party

I hosted my first real Christmas party at my own home this year. I've done dinner parties before and had people over, but this time I sent out actual paper invitations, cleaned the house, made food, made Christmas goodies, and created games to play.
gold sequin leggings anyone?

One of the things I loved was my hot chocolate station.
I love candy canes in my hot cocoa! I had a kettle ready to make hot water nearby.

I created some of my favorite treats to eat! My mom used to make these peanut butter filled Ritz Crackers dipped in chocolate, so I wanted to carry on the tradition.

Here's a bit of a step by step if you're interested in trying them.
Melt down some almond bark. (For the record- everyone loves the white version more!) As another side note, almond bark melts faster and better in the microwave at half power. :)
Put down some parchment paper and put your peanut butter between your Ritz crackers.
Bit messy!

Add some sprinkles for festive cheer!

The parchment paper catches all the melty chocolatey bits.
Clean them up and they look pretty good! :)

Now onto the games! Have you ever played the game of Things? The person whose turn it is draws a card and reads it aloud. Everyone writes some kind of answer on a slip of paper and submits them anonymously to a pile or bucket. They are read one at a time and then everyone has to guess who submitted which answer. There are a lot of laughs, wild guesses, and general hilarity. I created my own (essentially FREE because all it takes is paper.) Christmassy themed game. I'll include a picture of the cards I created if you want some inspiration for creating your own.

Some of the answers were seriously hilarious!

I hope you can use some of these ideas at your own party sometime!
Thanks for reading!
xoxo,
Victoria
