1. Remember all those blessings you were thankful for.
I once read a quote that said Americans have it backwards. We should have 364 days of thankfulness and one day of griping and complaining. I love that idea. People aren't kidding when they say gratitude is an attitude. When I decided to start complaining less about my job, I started enjoying it more. :)
2. Clean the house!
The dirty dishes have probably piled up, the decor is all over the place, and people have tracked snow or dirt in. Having a clean house is the first way to feel better and more in control of your life.
3. Small business Saturday
I had to throw this one in there. In all the Target/Walmart/Mall rush on Friday we often forget our neighbors trying to make a living in our hometown. Grab a coffee from your favorite local place and shop the downtown boutiques. It's fun and an awesome way to give back to your own community.
4. One in One out
If you're anything like me, you bought clothes on Black Friday. No shame! Just remember the one in one out rule to keep your closet manageable. (When you buy something new, you sell, give away or donate an older piece you're no long wearing as much) I feel so much better when my closet isn't an overstuffed disaster!
5. Christmas decor
If you haven't already put up your decorations, now is a great time to do it! There is never any reason to feel down or sad after Thanksgiving because the next big holiday is right on its way up! I love having all my lights up, and setting up my nativity so I can focus on Christ's birth! Hello advent season!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a safe Black Friday. (Isn't it crazy that you have to say safe Black Friday?! People are nuts out there!)
Xoxo,
Victoria
What a great post! I am really bad about the whole "One in one out" rule, I have things in my closet from middle school (eeek!). Maybe one day I'll gather up the courage to part with some of my old pieces. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
