The Perfect Sunday Afternoon Appetizer

Sunday afternoons in the fall are slow, cozy days filled with church, family, and football. If you are looking for a delicious appetizer to eat while you host a gathering at your house (or anytime!) I would suggest these amazing jalapeƱo poppers. :) they've got some kick and amazing flavor.

I surprised my hubby with these one night and then, next thing I knew he was signing us up to take them to his work party. They were a hit!

Ingredients
Jalapenos (anywhere from 12-18 depending on size)
Cream cheese block (8oz)
Grated Cheddar cheese (1 cup)
Garlic (1 clove)
Paprika (season to taste)
Package of bacon

Wear gloves unless you want to yell everytime you take out your contacts for a few days! Even with washing your hands - the pepper finds a way!
Halve the peppers and take out all the seeds. Leave some if you like things especially spicy.
They should look something like this when done.
Make sure the cream cheese is softened and mix it all up. (Confession I usually wash up and use my hands. It's a lot faster.)
Fill em up! I know it's tempting to over fill, but if you do it will just escape during cooking anyway. TIP: For an easier cleanup - wrap your cookie sheet in foil.
Wrap half a slice of bacon on each.
Cook em up at 400 degrees (not lower!) until the pepper is softened and the bacon is crispy.

Eat up and enjoy!!
