Props and Backdrops for new Bloggers

When you start blogging, there is a huge learning curve. There's so many parts to it that seem like they should be "easy," but aren't. Styling photos is one of those things.
Occasionally, you'll need to do layouts and/or feature products. Putting the perfect look together is important to that end. However, as a new blogger, you probably don't have a lot of money to throw into your blog, and that includes expensive equipment and back drops. That's where I come in! :)
So without further ado, 5 cheap props and backdrops! Starting with 2 backdrops.

1. 2 large pieces of white poster paper
This is the easiest way to create a white back drop for anything you need to photograph. It's clean, it's fresh, and it's much better than a busy background for closeups.

#2 Marble Tile
I love marble! However, I can't afford marble anything. Except this tile of pretend marble from Home Depot that I got for a grand total of $1.87. I love how it adds that extra pop of design to close ups. Like so.
#3 Fake flowers
There's something beautiful, bright, and eye catching about flowers; even fake ones. They are only about 3 dollars each, but they add a lot! Like so-

#4 Roses
Feeling a bit more spendy? Spring for some real flowers for extra special posts. This bouquet of roses was only 10 dollars from WalMart.
It gives the eye something else to look at instead of just the makeup.

#4 Cute Coffee Cups
Everyone loves coffee. A coffee mug looks great next to a computer/tablet/phone, on top of a set of books, or anything else "intellectual." They're also great for a nail polish post! :)

Starbucks cups are all the rage with outfit posts, but who on earth can afford a 6 dollar coffee every time they shoot? Enter the 2 dollar reusable Starbucks cup. Next time you're in the store, get one!

So there you have it! 5 backdrops for under 10 dollars each!
If you enjoyed this post I would really, super-duper appreciate you pinning the top image on Pinterest so other people can find it too! Thanks so much.
Happy blogging!
Victoria
