Book Review- Me Before You

I discovered this thing on YouTube called BookTube where people talk about all the books they read. ReadByZoe is one such "BookTuber." In one of her recent videos she recommended "Me before You" by Jojo Moyes. Despite having lots of homework, After a date night, I begged my husband to take me by Target, and I picked it up. At 7 pm I told myself I would only read a few chapters. Needless to say, at 11 pm I read the last page of the book, turned off my lamp, and cried into my pillow. Yes, it was that good.

This book may have made me cry, but boy did it also make me laugh. The dry, cynical humor was totally up my alley. I liked that the book made me think and walk a mile in another's shoes.

The story follows Louisa "Lou" as she becomes a caretaker/companion to Will, a quadriplegic. Things are exactly as difficult as they sound like they would be. The book is extremely honest, and handles the human experience and human emotion with just the right tenor of humor and magic. I would definitely reccomend reading this novel, especially before heading off to the theater when it becomes a movie!
