Happy 2016!


Happy New Year's Day! I hope you had a wonderful evening and got to wear all the sparkles you wanted! :) We had friends over for a "Casino Night" and my husband created his own mats from felt. It was actually kind of impressive.


I think I'm liking the new trend of creating goals for 2016 instead of "resolutions." This post is just for fun- post yours in the comments so I can get inspired !

1. Workout on a regular basis
 If you're a regular reader of my blog you already know I had some "old year's resolutions" in November/December to get to the gym and start working out. So I've got a solid month started on this goal already. I have felt better from it, so I definitely want to keep it up.

2. Finish my Master's Degree
Classes end this summer, and then our thesis writing begins. I have to write AND successfully defend my 80 page paper to a board of people and that makes my knees shake. I want to get it done in December of 2016, and not take the Spring Semester to do it.

3. Dedicate more time to the blog 
Heaven knows where I'll even find the time, but it will never be where I want it if I don't take the time to get better photographs and figure out my DSLR camera.

4. Floss my teeth 
I hate the dentist. I have bad teeth. I literally have to floss more or I get 5 cavities. The end 

5. Eat breakfast and drink water 
I'm not "dieting" but there's tons of research that fully support these 2 healthy habits!
