We've all had that morning when we looked in our closet and thought, "I have nothing to wear," despite the fact that our closets are crammed with pieces. So today, I wanted to share a post that takes some of the basics that we all own and mixes them up a bit to show how many options there are! Some of these even surprised me.
2. A plaid shirt
3. A neutral cardigan
4. A vest
5. A scarf
See- told you have these pieces!
Striped Shirt... Pretty plain, so let's spice it up a bit.Outfit 2:
A striped shirt looks so cute with a plaid scarf!
A green vest over the stripes adds some warmth and layers.
Altogether now! Yep, it works!
This was the most daring... but of course, it turned into my favorite!
Stripes with plaid... In my head I went, "This is going to look horrible!"
Then of course the camera decided the snow was much more important to focus on! *upstaged!*
On to the rest of the plaid looks!
Rock a plaid by itself!
Add that vest. :)
Or try a neutral cardigan. Don't forget to roll the plaid sleeves over the top!
All layered up!
Okay, this one kind of started as a joke. But.... if you get rid of the red plaid it totally works and actually seems kind of cute!!
Wow! That's all 10 outfits right? Let the English teacher count...
Yes, I was using my fingers. #sojudgeme
Love that my husband got this candid shot! :)
So, overall lesson learned here? Try. Mix it up. Add pieces together. You don't have to have tons of clothes to create a lot of looks, and get some mileage out of your staple pieces!
